Tragedy and Togetherness

On the night of the 22nd of May 2017,  Ariana Grande, a popular American singer, was playing a gig at Manchester Arena. What was suppose to be an amazing night resulted in tragedy. After the concert, a suicide bomber detonated a shrapnel-laden homemade bomb at the exit of the Arena, killing twenty two adults and children and injuring a hundred and nineteen more.

The people of Manchester responded by showing the city's resilience: Manchester is truly a united city of strength, pride, caring, and unity. Furthermore, people and organizations from around the world came together to show their support of of the city, including an amazing concert by Ariana Grande with guests such as Katy Perry, Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Pharell Williams, Take That, Stevie Wonder, and Liam Gallagher.
