On 24th November, the iconic Auditorio de Tenerife Adán Martín will set the stage for an evening brimming with glamour, creativity, and talent.
According to Gumidafe Gutiér, Creative Director of the Live Fashion Hair Awards and BXLFA, the essence of LIVE FASHION HAIR lies in “the synergies created between the Live team, Booksy, and the artists who join us from various parts of the world. It’s about sharing knowledge, developing and executing ideas, and, of course, the experience itself of spending days together in this meeting of talents.”
The Councillor for Employment and Education highlighted to Europa Press the importance of this event for the fashion industry, emphasising that “fashion cannot be understood without aesthetics and hairdressing, so discussing the textile sector also means acknowledging the professions that are intertwined with it.”
“After the global crisis of 2008, Vishal Baharani and I decided it was time to change the industry. We wanted a fresh, approachable event that would break the established rules. In 2013, we met in Madrid after 10 years apart and decided it was time to start Live Fashion Hair,” recalls Orlando Martín, CEO and founder of Live.
In 2023, the Booksy x Live Fashion Awards were introduced to the Live Fashion Hair experience, creating a space where beauty professionals could showcase their skills and creativity in an inspiring, unconventional environment. The first edition was a resounding success, laying the foundation for what is shaping up to be an unmissable annual tradition in the beauty industry calendar.
“During the inaugural edition of the Booksy x Live Fashion Awards in 2023, we faced the greatest challenge: building a community of artists—in this case, within the Booksy universe—who understand the benefits of belonging to a group where artists from different disciplines come together and see it as an opportunity for growth. Now, in 2024, our aim, among others, is to improve participation rates and, above all, the quality of the work submitted. We want to bring together the best barbers, hairdressers, and nail artists,” says Gumidafe Gutiér.
This year, the event invites beauty professionals from across Europe to participate, regardless of whether they use Booksy or not. This inclusivity strengthens Booksy’s commitment to fostering a dynamic, collaborative community that celebrates creativity and innovation.
According to Europa Press, Krysten Martin, President of the Canary Islands Hairdressing and Beauty Association, describes Live Fashion Hair as “one of the best national and international experiences.”
