When you walk down Old Market Street in Bristol you’re greeted by the usual independent British high street; of a variety of unique stores, ye olde buildings and new opportunities. You come to a crossroad and at a glance, Glitch Bristol looks like a plant nursery but then you see the salon chairs, the kitchen, the art, you hear the live music and as you step in, wonder “Am I dreaming?”. Yes, you are in Stephan Vi’s dream. A dream where life doesn’t stop because you’re at the salon, life is enhanced because you’re there. Glitch is a salon with more than a twist, it’s a whole natural based cocktail of WOW and ‘OMG, why didn’t I think of that?’ We took the opportunity to speak to Stephan about his outlandish approach to the salon experience and how it came to be.
I have always been attracted by the fashion industry and creatives.
I see Glitch as a creative hub. I’m not just “a hairdresser”, I like to be called “a creative”. The best thing is to create something unique for my customers whether it be hair, art, music, food or horticultural.
Fashion Punk.
The things people call “strange” are normal to me.
My passion for innovation.
Constancy and to be ambitious.

I've not been with Booksy for long but in the future, I would like to open more salons and then I will be using my Booksy reports as evidence of Glitch Salon's success so hopefully, it will!

100% to every salon owner!
Glitch is the first concept space in the world where you can listen to live music whilst having your hair done. We have an ever-changing art exhibition by local artists, serve in-house, proper Italian food prepared by Grano Kitchen and all whilst surrounded by a jungle of plants and bespoke pots, which you can also take home along with organic hair products.
To add to that, Glitch hosts weekly events, from cooking workshops to yoga and super cosy, exciting live sessions!
See this video of Bethany Humphries performing at Glitch and what was done with her hair after the show.
My plans are to open in other cities like London, Brighton, Berlin, New York, Amsterdam and LA.
David Bowie, because he was my God. He innovated the way to mix music with fashion.
We will have our most memorable moment will happen next year but I’m not going to spoil it- keep your eyes peeled on our Instagram.
Be creative, push your boundaries, think outside the box, study management and you’ll be the most satisfied person in the world.
My first teacher Stefania from Italy, she trained me as a hairdresser but more important as a person.
