People can now find a local barber, stylist or nail tech, see real open time slots, and select one right in the chat, then complete the booking on Booksy.
Booksy, a leading booking and business platform for the beauty and wellness industry, launched a new plugin inside ChatGPT that lets people search for local beauty and barber appointments and see real, open time slots right in the conversation. From there, they select a slot and complete the booking on Booksy.
Clients install the plugin and then ask a question like "find me a barber in Miami for Saturday morning." ChatGPT pulls matching provider profiles and live availability straight from Booksy, so the person can narrow the search and pick a slot in the chat, then confirm the booking on Booksy, the same pattern used for Reserve with Google. The availability shown pulls from the same calendar businesses already keep up to date on Booksy. There's nothing new for providers to set up.
The launch builds on Booksy's existing lead in AI-driven search. Across eight tested U.S. cities (Miami, Orlando, Tampa, New York, Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio), Booksy leads in visible business-profile citations on ChatGPT (averaging ~3x the next platform) and Google AI Mode (~2x), as well as outright for barber searches on both platforms. The ChatGPT plugin adds to a broader push at Booksy to put real availability wherever people are searching, alongside its Reserve with Google and Google AI Mode integrations. It's live in the U.S. to start.
